My first visitor of the year!

This week was midterm week from the nineth hell. My English paper was due on Wednesday, then there was my Bio midterm on Thursday and my Chem midterm on Friday. And it was also the first real week of practice. Yay!
We have a new assistant coach this year and he knows some lovely and exceedingly painful footwork drills. We did a Russian one that involved deep knee bends between each advance. I'm actually still sore from it- but randomly only my left leg. Which, incidentially, was NOT the leg I was lunging on. So I have no idea why its still sore.
Anywho, I left early from practice on Friday so I could go pick up Pete from the airport! And I took the Silver Line, which was much faster and less confusing than taking the shuttle from the Blue Line. (This is exciting information, I know.) Anywho, Pete and I met up with no problems and then went to go eat crepes at the amazing creperie in Harvard Square. I think that when my mom comes to visit for Family and Friends weekend I'm going to take her there. Actually, I plan to take anyone who comes to visit me there, so come visit me so I have an excuse to wantonly by crepes.
By the time we were done eating amazing French food it was rather late. We caught the 10:40 Sentate Bus back to campus and went right to bed.
Saturday dawned rainy and cold. Sara left early because she, and just about everyone else on campus, was going home for the weekend. Pete and I took the Senate bus in to Cambridge and then took the T to Quincy Market so we could eat lunch/breakfast at Cheers. Afterwards we hung out in some stores in the hopes that it would stop raining, but it didn't, so we walked to the aquarium, then followed the Freedom Trail backwards to Boston Common. We caught the T there and took it back to Harvard Square. We debated seeing a movie in the Harvard Square movie theater, but apparently it has a policy of never showing anything that I actually want to see. So we spent the rest of the afternoon in the Coop and this other bookstore across the street from the Coop. I started reading this book in the Coop called The Egyptologist that was really interesting.
Oh man- this is for Danana- Tamora Peirce has like, 70 million new books out. It's crazy! You know the Circle quartets? Well, she's written this new book where the four of them are "adults" aka 18 (which is NOT adult! I'm 19 and I'm not an adult!) and they've gone their separate ways. The parts that I read werent's so bad, which is good, I guess. And she's written another one about Alanna's daughter which I didn't look at because I feel that it will not be good and it upsets me. Oh well.
After the afternoon of books, we went back to Wellesley for dinner and ate in the student center which had the amazing rissoto back! Yay! I was beginning to think I'd never eat it again. Then we went back to Beebe and watched The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged).
Today we had breakfast in Caz and then I put Pete on the Senate bus with directions how to get to Alewife (not difficult) so he can meet up with his film camp compadres. After he left I walked to the library and borrowed the new version of a Midsummer Night's Dream and Tootsie. Then I spent the rest of the day playing computer games and watching movies. As a result I'm kind of bored and not very hungry. I wish I had chloroplasts.
I beleive I shall go wash my hair and then maybe go to the campus center for some food, as I think all the dining halls are closed. Or maybe I'll just eat Ramen. Hm.

while i am fond of tamora pierce, i agree with you about the other books being not-so-hot. not that i've read them, but i didn't like the lady knight ones, or the circle ones.
