Tower Court Mixer

I have to say that the Tower Court Mixer was very different than what I expected it to be. First off, it wasn't at Tower Court. It was actually in the gym, which is huge and so it makes sense to have it in the gym and not in Tower Court.
Secondly, we decided to walk over with Sara's FYM, which was a good idea, because she knew it was in the gym and we didn't. However, when we arived at Sara's FYM's door she and her two friends were finishing off the last of who knows how many shots of who knows what, so the walk over was...interesing. Yeah, apparently the only way to have fun at the Tower Court Mixer is if you're in various stages of drunkedness. I didn't know this, Sara didn't know this, but the majority of the people there knew this. It was good times.
So, once we got to the gym there was a huge long line of people waiting to get in. Sara's FYM, who was, to be fair, only slightly buzzed, was like, "you shouldn't have to wait in this line. I'm gonna take you up closer." So we skipped everybody and moved up really far, but it didn't matter because we stood outside for about an hour and a half anyway, and were absolutly smoshed between tons of people. There were two lines: a Wellesley line and an MIT line. One would think it would be pretty easy to distinguish between the two, but it was actually quite difficult because stupid MIT boys kept standing in the Wellelsley line. So it was confusing, and at one point I looked around and noticed that Sara and I were surrounded by men and only men and I was like "Hm, I don't think we're in the Wellesley line anymore." And we weren't. So we squeezed through the mess of people and got into the Wellesley line and got in in about 5 minutes.
Two obseravtions:
1. People who stand there and make out right in front of you are obnoxious and should be hit.
2. Dances are much more fun when your friends are there. I got in and I was missing everyone. Oh man, it would have been sooooooo much fun if everyone was there. I missed Meghan so much, because she would have danced and been crazy with me and not cared about anyone else. And instead Sara and I kinda stood there and danced a little and it was an ok time. I mean, Sara was awesome and I'm sooooo glad I went with her, but it was just the two of us for most of the time and that's not really all that fun.
I saw my FYM there and she swing danced (but not with me) and it was mad sweet. Then, at like, the second last song, this random man asked me if I wanted to dance. You know Magda's husband in Le Divorce? Well, the guy looked like him, only blonde, and he really didn't look or sound like a college student. So I was like, "Um...no, thank you," and he was like, "Ok. Bye." But it was a little weird.
The dance ended at 2, and we went right back to our dorm.
This morning was Flower Sunday, and I met my Big Sister and she gave me flowers (duh) and then we went to the non-denominational service and it was really nice. By non-denominational service, I mean there were a ton of religions represented. Baha'i, Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Christian (Protestant and Catholic, shot down me) and Judiasm were all represented. It was a pretty cool service. Very new age.
Then I came back and alternatly read about Islam and napped. And now I must do math homework and Bio reading, also known as calling Kelly. Haha.
