So much to do, so little time!
Yikes, it feels like I've been really busy. Friday was fun, beating down, I mean, partying it up with Greg...No, we were very nice, and Kt baked him cookies and Chelsea and I helped by frosting them and it was a good time. Then Mark called us at Greg's, and we decided to ditch him and go to a movie! And we went to the drive in and it was exciting, because I'd never been to a drive in before! But Mark gave me terible directions that I didn't understand and so I got lost and the only person in the car with any sense of direction- Brian- was suffering from sever lack of confidence, so that decreased his usefulness. Well, we got to the place late, but we only missed the previews (which, in my opinion, is the best part about movies, so that was not cool).
Since we arrived separatly, Mark and I were parked in different places, so my car all piled out and converged on Mark's car. We all tried to sit on the hood, but the mosquitoes were viscious, so then we all tried to cram into Mark's car. It worked for Shrek 2, but the other movie was going to be Harry Potter, so Mark moved my car next to his during the intermission (and somehow ended up leaving Brian's shoes in my car. How did that happen?) and I had a great view for Harry Potter and it rocked. Yes, the director had to leave some stuff out, and yes, they was semi-important things too, but minus that, I thought he did an excellent job. There were some really scary moments in this one, and the coolest thing was, even though there was magic and you were always aware of it, it wasn't big flashy magic, like it's been in the other movies.
Emma Thompson rocks my socks! She was great as Prof. Trelawny.
One of the biggest shocks about the movie was how old everyone has gotten. I'd just seen the first Harry Potter in French class, but I only saw the second one once, last year when it came out. What a difference! The characters are all taller and thinner and the boys' voices are deeper.
So anyway, I ended up getting home at about 2, and I had to wake up early to go to Kung Fu, or so I thought. Nope. I got there and apparently there's been a time change. The adult class doesn't start until noon. So I went back home, cut the grass and hung around for an hour before leaving again.
We took my dad and my grandfather out for dinner for Father's Day, then went back to my grandparents' house for cake. That was fun, but kinda sad too. The mother of one of my dad's high school friends is a Holocost survivor, and she came and talked to us. Well, it wasn't quite that random. I guess after Steven Speilburg made Chindler's List he became very interested in preserving the memories of Holocost survivors. He got a list of the names of all the survivors from the Holocost Museum in Washington DC and sent a letter to everyone, asking if they would be willing to be filmed talking about their expreiences. The woman who talked to us also brought the tapes of her interview.
I thought her story was interesting, but I've always liked history. My brothers are young and stupid, so they thought everything was boring, same old-same old and all that. But they're dumb.
Then, in the final stretch of my marathon Saturday, I took my brothers to see Dodgeball. I don't know why. If anyone is thinking of seeing it I beg you to reconsider, save yourself $8 or go see something better. Seeing Dodgeball= waste of time, unless you're a guy and then there's a 50-50 chance you'll actually like it. No offense guys, but my brothers really liked it, so my accusations are not unfounded. Also, Sam Falcone was there with a girl. Ew.
Oh my goodness gracious, today was the last Sunday I'll sing with the Choir for several months. They're singing next week, but we're not going because of graduation. Dumb "commencement" or whatever they call it. Why is it not called graduation anymore? By calling it commencment are they implying that with that simple ceremony we'll "commence" with the beginning of the rest of our lives? Haven't they heard? College isn't real life. We don't have to worry about that for the next four years! To them I say bah.
Well, I have to go to a baptism. Happy Dad's day to fathers here, there and everywhere.
PS- Kelly is my hero!

NO!! Harry Potter movies are bad and not at all scary. Dodgeball ruled.

Emma Thompson was Professor Trelawney and Emma Watson was Hermione.
I saw it on Friday too, I thought people were too busy to go with me because that's the impression I got when I asked.
