Friday, Friday, Friday

Friday was an adventure. I had chores but I didn't do half of them because I ran out of time. I did scrub the turtle for about 45 mintues, though, and he hissed at me the entire time. Do turtles have feeling in their shells? I didn't think they did, but now I think they do. Hmm, it was an upsetting experience, though. First I thought the frog was dead, then the turtle tried to kill itself. See, when I went into Alex's room the frog was just floating on the top of the water. This was scary because he usually floats down under his rocks and I've never seen him just floating at the surface. And he wasn't moving. He didn't move for a good minute, not even when I put food in his tank. Thank goodness for the gold fish that are bigger than he is. One moved close by him and he darted away. Geeze. I was picturing telling my brother that his frog was dead and it was not a pretty picture. Then the turtle tried to kill itself by knocking the basin it was in off the bathroom sink and falling two and a half feet to the tile floor. Somehow it managed to land on its feel, but it was very confused and unhappy. Poor thing.
After that I drove myself, Kim (who we picked up from her dentist appointment), Marie, Naomi and Christina to the Galleria mall. I guess we missed the exit we were supposed to take, so we ended up taking this really funky way and taking about half an hour to get there. I had to leave kind of soon, so the other people secured a ride home from Kim's mom and I left. The only thing was I went out the wrong side of he mall and wandered around in the parking lot for about 15 minutes, wondering why I couldn't find my car and why nothing looked familiar. I called Kim and left her a sad message, then went back into the mall to try going out a different door. Kim called back, I found her, she pointed me in the right direction and I found my car at the exact time I was supposed to be home. Then I couldn't figure out how to get out of the parking lot. On top of this, my dad calls and asks where I am. So I'm driving aimlessly around, talking on a cellphone, being illegal and very unhappy. In the end I figured out how to get out of the parking lot and back to my house where my grandparents were waiting for me. They'd called the restuarant and Hutch's, which serves amazing food and is very, very nice, said they would save our table for us. Yay Hutch's!
After dinner I went to see Spider Man 2 with Phil. It was really good and I enjoyed it very much. I was annoyed at the fact that, without fail, MJ is always wearing a skirt or dress at the most inopportune time. I don't care if women in skirts are hotter than women in pants, Phil Getman. A sensible women wears pants when there's a possibility she's going to get kidnapped by a crazy scientist.
On Saturday I went with Kelly to a chorus concert at Fredonia. It was amazing, as usual. Then I fell asleep on the way home because I was really tired. After that we went to Ria's grad party and Michelle Struasser's grad party and I took people to Naomi's and went home and hung out with my dad who I've been ditching all week. We played three rounds of Word Thief and I got slaughtered. but c'est la vie. Then I stayed up until 2 talking to Phil and this morning I slept until 12:30. I got up, ate breakfast, showered and went to my Aunt Ellen's for limade and to admire her newly-finished hardwood floors. They are very beautiful.
After that I went to Phil's and ate yummy pizza and watched part of "Analyze That" and then we got picked up by my dad and tried to see the fireworks. Turned out they were canclled due to the rain, bit it wasn't raining anymore, so it was silly. Well, we didn't need fireworks anyway.
Then I got ice cream and saw Jessica Ramsden at Anderson's. Then we dropped Phil off and here I am, talking to him and Dan Bostaph and trying to finish this at the same time. Yay for multitasking!
PS- my DVD player is still broken. Why does it hate the world?
