Ch.13, In Which Dizbit Tells the Saga of the Naked, Screaming Baby
The moral of the story is, folks, that two years old is just too old to be baptized. At that age the infant is congnizent enough to realize that it's being held by people that aren't its parents, it's getting dunked in water by a person that it may never have seen before and may never see again and it is old enough to scream nearly continuously while all of this is going on (and in my church, baptisms last, on average, for an hour). This is what I learned on Sunday: a two year old baby resists baptism like a cat resists a bath. But enough of that.
You know what's really exciting? Shaolin Soccer is finally showing in America! So what if it's only in one theater and that theater is far away in Amherst or someplace else way away away down Sheridan. It was a very silly movie and I really enjoyed it. If you like silly movies in Chinese that have really awesome, though somewhat digitally enhanced, Kung Fu and a really random dance scene, then I highly recomend that you go see Shaolin Soccer.
Today is my little itty bitty brother's birthday. Alex turned 13 today. He's now a real, live teeager. Thank God I'm moving out in two months. Happy Birthday, Alex! Pete and I got him a bean bag chair and a lava lamp. On the way to Target to get said items Mr. Rigney was driving the car behind us. Peter tried to get his attention and wave to him, but Mr. Rigney didn't notice him. It was random. Then I saw Mike Davidson in the target parking lot, which is much less random, considering he works there. Eh, that was about the only meaningful thing I did today.
So here's the plan for the rest of my day: Go to Kung Fu, eat cake with my family, go to Bookmeisters for the first time in forever! Yay!

I can't believe Alex is ACTUALLY 13 now!! I bet he's telling people he's 14?? Jeez! Um what was I going to say? Oh yes, is the baby better now? I heard it was sick! I'm glad its better even if it was loud and crazy.
