Heat and Humidity
I say the heat and humidity should take a vacation, go to someplace nice and far away, like, oh, St. Thomas. Right now I feel as if I've been rolled in honey, that's how gross and sticky I am.
Today I set my alarm for 10, and I actually dragged myself out of bed by 10:30. Yay! I checked my e-mail, which was tres exciting because I had three Wellesley related e-mails. One was from my roommate who sounds really cool and nice, one was from the music department lady about harping next year and the other was from the Copy room at Wellesly shooting me down because I'm not a work-study. But that's ok. Work-studies need the job more than I do.
At noon I went to Phil's house and we ate some yummy lunch and watched Top Gun. Then I went home and found out that Kelly PASSED HER DRIVING TEST. To which I say "of course!" Yay and Congrats Kelly! I knew you could do it! So I called Kelly and tried to make Chicken Stefatho (Greek chicken stew) at the same time. It took me kind of a long time (one chicken or duck, disjointed) and I got a crick in my neck. The phone cord decided it wanted to be letahl as well, and foiled some plots to knock my onions on the floor and take out my foot with a can of tomato paste.
At 5:30-ish I left the stew boiling on the stove and went to Kung Fu where we did fun monkey stuff. Then I returned unto my house for salad and a celebratory piece of strawberry rhubarb pie because my mom and brothers had returned from their two week sojourn in New Hampshire, bringing my cousin Jonathan with them. And Jono's been growing again...sheesh. Who gave him permission to do that? Certainly not I, and I have given him strict instructions to stop such nonsense at once. I only hope he listens.
After pie I went to Bookmiesters. They want to take Sarah (the other graduating senior) and me out to lunch. How nice! We were all a little punchy, though. And Gina had too much caffine...eh, it's funnier that way.
Okey-dokey. Just keep in mind that Ma, I am a muumuu mama, I am.
